The frost begins... I started the week chipping ice off my car in the dark and freezing cold before work - I guess I'm lucky i haven't had to do it before now! I did some more Christmas shopping and babysitting after work during the week then celebrated my Birthday on Wednesday. I had a great day, not too busy at work and got home in good time to have a yummy pad thai dinner cooked by Thea and an amazing tiramisu for desert! They all sang happy Birthday to me and I got to talk to all the family back home so couldn't have asked for a better day really! On Wednesday there were big strikes all across the UK, government workers protesting against the planned changes to their pensions. Luckily it didn't affect me too much and I was able to get in and do my job ok. I booked all my flights for The Baltics for January after work early in the week so very much looking forward to that trip with Alanna! Thea and I went to Cosco and Reading and did some more Christmas shopping on the weekend and I even found jeans that fit (momentous occasion for me!). I introduced Thea to Primark, my favourite shop and she found some bargains! On Sunday we put the Christmas tree up and decorated the house which was fun and I got some more travel plans underway for a trip to Portugal with Laura, Tom and Thea in January.
