We had a very early start and made it to the train station
just in time for our final leg of the Trans Siberian Railway. We spent the day
relaxing on the train, writing post cards, reading up on China, playing uno,
sorting photos and sleeping. We travelled through AMAZING scenery along the
way, a beautiful sunrise and sunset over the snow covered Gobi desert and lots
of camels grazing in the distance – very pretty! We made it to the border
between Mongolia and China by the time it was dark – had to wait extra long at
this border crossing because not only did they have to go through the whole
customs business but they had to change the wheels on the train because China
has different tracks! So each carriage was suspended in the air (with us in it)
and the wheels were changed over – crazy!!
