After a long flight and too much plane food I finally made it to London Heathrow airport. It was an amazing blue sunny day and Aunty Thea and her dog Spike collected me from the airport and took me to Nan and Grmapa's where Nan and Thea cooked up a big English breakfast. I have spent the week catching up with Nan and Grampa, sorting out work bits and pieces including a trip to Woking on the train to get my National Insurance number and a trip to London to complete my agency training ready to start work. I have managed to get a job at the Gravesend Community Hospital in Kent on a Neuro rehab ward just for 2 and a half weeks to cover someones leave but that's a start anyway. I start next Friday and am looking forward to getting back into it. I am staying at Thea's farmhouse in Wadhurst surrounded by amazing scenery at the moment ready to help her with a catering job tonight. We went out and had a lovely English pub meal and a few beverages with Thea's friends last night and have spent today relaxing in the sun. I am going to get fat here!
