We drove through the boarder into Slovakia and stopped in Bratislava (Old Town) the capital for lunch. Bratislava old town is really pretty with lots of character, we did a brief walking tour and saw Bratislava’s medieval castle then drove on to Vienna, Austria. It was another really hot day – late 30s, early 40s. We set up camp then went to Prater Park, the Theme park in Vienna where the oldest ferris wheel in Europe is (even though it burnt down and was re-built…). I went on one of the ferris wheels for views out over the city which was cool. We ate some awesome carny food before heading back to the camp.
