Today we drove from Munich in Germany through Austria and Switzerland into Liechtenstein then back into Switzerland! This was one of the most scenic drives we have done - through the snow-capped Swiss Alps on a clear blue sunny day, it was amazing! We stopped in Vaduz the capital of Liechtenstein for a break before heading on to Lucerne in Switzerland where we saw the famous Lion monument, visited a Swiss watch factory/shop and wandered around the river, over the Wooden Chapel Bridge and along the city walls which was beautiful. We drove on to the camp site in Lauterbrunnen, one of the best camp sites we have stayed at. We had views of snow-capped mountains and waterfalls from out tents! After dinner we joined the other contiki groups staying on site at the ‘Swissco Disco’ held in the campsites ‘bunker’ underground! Everyone had to dress in red and white which made for an entertaining night.
