We had breaky then caught the tube to the museum of
contemporary history which was massive but very interesting. We then caught the
tube to a good view point on a hill with views out over Moscow and from there
to a large shopping street called the Arbat for a late lunch which was very
tasty. It was a clear blue sunny day and very cold so we walked quickly between
shops. We bought a few souvenirs including a matroshka doll (we know them as
babushka dolls but this is not actually what they are called in Russia!
Babushka means grandma).
