17/2/2012 Beijing, China TRANS SIBERIAN RAILWAY

We arrived into China through spectacular mountains with frozen rivers running between them. It was a clear blue sunny day which made the scenery even more amazing. The temperature in Beijing was slightly warmer than Mongolia and Russia which was a very nice change. We dropped our bags off at the hotel and showered etc then walked past the night market to an awesome restaurant where we ate a feast of delicious Chinese food! After dinner we went to an acrobatics show which was brilliant, lots of contortionists and flying in the air and even motor bike stunts!
After the acrobatics Andrea, Chris and I met up with Chris’ sister Claire who had work in Beijing while we were there which was great. She gave us some good tips on what to see, where to eat etc and it was fun catching up with her for a drink.
