We spent the morning exploring the Forbidden City which was
massive and fairly amazing. Unfortunately it was a really smoggy day which took
away some of the beauty as you couldn’t even see the buildings clearly through
the smog!
From the Forbidden City we walked over to Bahai Park where
we wandered around the frozen lake and up to the white pagoda (which looked
much better from a distance!). The park was really pretty and there were lots
of people singing and dancing around which was cool to see.
From the park we walked back to our favourite restaurant for
a late lunch/early dinner (‘linner’) which was another tasty feast! We rolled
back to the hostel and veged out for the evening which was nice.
