19/2/2012 Beijing, China

We had an early start to farewell everyone then Andrea, Chris and I transferred to our triple share room and then met Claire. We caught a taxi to Claire’s friend David’s place then all went out to an awesome dumpling restaurant together for lunch – very very tasty!
We visited an Art district which was really cool, loads of amazing art galleries all around the same area which we explored for a bit then visited the Hutongs which was also very cool. Lots of small narrow winding streets crammed with all sorts of food and goodies.  We wandered around a temple then went to a brilliant foody street for dinner. We had some amazing dishes from the North Western (Muslim) part of China which had a real Kazakhstan/Turkish spin to it – kebabs and tasty breads. I stuffed myself once again – such amazing food!
