We set off for a day in Florence, the first stop was Leonardo’s leather factory where we learnt how to tell if something is made from real leather and about their products. From there we did a walking tour of Florence with a local guide through the main sights of Florence. We walked past loads of sculptures , the Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce (3rd largest cathedral in the world), Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry and Piazza della Signoria. After the walking tour we had free time to do our own exploring so I wandered around the open air market and back around the water front. We went back to the campsite to get changed before heading back into the city for dinner. On the way to dinner we stopped at the statue of David piazza for a group photo out over the city at sunset – very pretty.
