We got up and packed early for a long driving and boating day from Corfu to Athens. We got the boat from Corfu back to Iguanomitsa and then drove along the water front /cliffs over the Rio anti Rio bridge and across the Corinth Canal (literally a big ditch that the Greeks dug through the cliffs so that boats could pass through) and along to Athens. We drove past some amazing scenery and it was another hot day, late 30s early 40s! We stopped for lunch and had traditional Greek style souvlaki’s called Eros which is thick pita bread with tatziki, kebabs, tomato and chips – very tasty and cheap! We set up camp and had a relaxing dinner and drinks before resting up for exploring Athens the following day.
