We drove to Balronald RSPB (Royal Society of Protected Birds) and did a 3 hour walk with lots of great birdlife and speccy scenery then had lunch on the beach at the end, near Tigharry. We drove right up to Berneray – the most Northern tip of North Uist where we saw seals and beautiful beaches. We then drove back past a medieval Dunn ‘Dunn an sticir’ to Locheport, Sue’s place. We saw deer on the drive back to Sue’s and a seal splashing around in the loch in front of her place. Sue had a telescope fixed on a buzzards nest on the cliffs opposite her living room window through which we watched the baby’s fledge – pretty amazing!
