We got up and going around 8am so we had enough time to fit in another big English breakfast before catching to bus transfer down to the boat ‘The Royal Delphin’ which we caught for a whale and dolphin spotting cruise. We saw lots of dolphins swimming around the fish farms which was pretty speccy then went further out to find a school of pilot whales and their calves – amazing! It was a perfect day, 26 degrees and sunny and the boat had a glass bottom section for spotting things under water which was cool. Tom went for a swim out the back of the boat before we set off back to the port where we walked back to Las America’s along the coast line. We had great views of La Gomera (another Canary Island) from the water and as we walked back along the coast. We walked along the water front in the opposite direction in the afternoon and watched some surfers for a while then walked back to watch the sunset from the beach near our hotel. Laura and I tried Canarian chicken and potatoes for dinner which was good then we got an early night ready for our early start and long day to follow.
