We had an early start, got packed up and out of the room then caught the bus to Del Teide National Park to climb the highest point in Spain (Del Teide volcano). We drove through more dry arid land scape up through the national park, past an amazing rock formation to the base of the volcano where we caught a gondola up near the crater. At the top of the gondola we did a few quick walks around for views out to the other Canary Islands: Gran Canaria, La Gomera and El Hierro before we had to get the gondola back down to the bus. We stopped at the amazing rock formations on the way back for a quick wander through before continuing back through the national park via a different route. We squeezed in a quick bit of lunch before catching the bus back to the airport and flying back to London Gatwick where we had an 8 hour wait for our flight to Morocco.
