After arriving at Gatwick at 11:30pm from Tenerife we didn't sleep really at all, just hung around in the airport til our 7:30am flight to Morocco - needless to say we were wrecked by the time we got there! We were collected from the airport, dropped our bags at the hotel then set off on a half day tour to The Ourika Valley to see a traditional Berber Village and waterfall. The drive was amazing, through the arid desert up to the snow covered Atlas mountains. In Marrakech it was about 26 degrees but much cooler in the Berber Village. We drove past Dromedaries (camels with one hump) and loads of ceramics shops and stopped off at a herb garden on the way back which was interesting. There were lots of little shops in the Berber village selling meat hanging out in the open air and lots of colourful fruit and amazing smelling tajines... When we got back to the hotel we met up with the rest of the group on our Top Deck tour and went out for dinner to a great Moroccan restaraunt where we tried Tajine and cous cous which were very tasty.
