Sophie's travels 2011-2012: 26/9/2011 Munich to Berlin, Germany

We had another 4:40am start, got packed up and returned the hire car and drove to the airport. We eventually made it to Berlin where it was a beautiful warm sunny day. We got a multi pass ticked for the train, tram, tube and bus then dropped our gear off at the hostel and made our way into the city to explore. We did a city sightseeing tour (quite possibly the worst tour of the trip!! but the tour guide did break out into song every now and then which was interesting and we got to see some cool break dancers). Anyway we got off that early and did our own thing. We hopped off the bus at checkpoint charlie for a look around there and then looked at the topography of terror - a display that took you through the events of the East/West Berlin wall and how it came down, amazing. We then walked down to Potsdamer Platz and saw another section of the wall, covered in graffiti and took a few pics before heading into the shopping centre for some supplies and curry wurst - YUM!
