28/9/2011 Berlin, Germany

We started our last day in Berlin in the main square and walked down to The Dom which was a fairly amazing building! It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat on the lawn in front of The Dom for a while admiring the scenery. We then walked over to the DDR - a hands on museum about East Germany which was very interesting. After this we walked back to the square with the marble arch monument and over to the big glass parliament building in Riechtag where we read you could climb to the top of for views out over Berlin but on arrival we found you had to book 2-3 days in advance! So we walked back to the TV tower and took the lift to the top for views out over the city at sunset - was unreal! You could actually see the difference in the buildings from East to West and it was amazing to see all the city lights come on. From the TV tower we had a look around the shops in Potsdamer Platz then got the tube back to the hostel to pack ready for yet another EARLY start!
During the day I had phone calls from the agencies and managed to secure 2 jobs for my return to the UK so it turned out to be a perfect end to a fantastic trip!
