We woke up to the sound of the water fall and freezing cold morning air and got going. We drove through more amazing misty scenery with sun poking through and arrived in Bergen around 1030. We parked in a tall story car park and made our way to the tourist information office where we looked into how to get up to Trondheim (further north) and things to do in Bergen. From there we wandered around the city and took the Gondola up the side of the mountain on the way out for views very similar to those from Mount Wellington, out over Bergen. Bergen is a very attractive city – much nicer than Oslo! We then drove on as far as we could towards Vagnes (where we had to get a ferry across the fjord to head further north) and stopped somewhere around Uppheim, next to some beautiful tarns for the night.
