We drove through more amazing scenery from Switzerland back into Germany to Heidelberg where we had a few hours in the city to explore. We wandered down the main street, into a few churches and around the market then up to the top of the medieval castle for views out over the city which was great. We then made our way back down to the river and caught the bus to the campsite which was on the banks of the river just out of the city – very pretty! A few people upgraded to cabins again so I had a tent to myself again – luxury! We had our last dinner prepared by our on road chef because our 2 nights in Amsterdam will be out and about so we had a feast and celebratory drinks to ‘the days we will never forget and the nights we will never remember’…
