We woke up to a gloomy looking day and Nan advised us that Bath would be better than Oxford to explore given the weather and the direction it was coming from and she was 100% correct - we drove through the rain to Bath where the sun was shining! We started by walking to the courtyard around the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey and soaked up some sun and atmosphere before doing a walking tour around Bath (using a pop up map) which was brilliant. We made our way back to the Abbey and Roman baths for a look inside both before they shut then finished the walking tour along the river before heading up to the top of Shakespear Parade for amazing views out over the city just before it started to rain. We came home to a lovely dinner cooked by Thea with the family which topped off another great day!
