After another early start we watched the sun rise from the hotel looking out over Tirana. We drove for a few hours over some crazy roads with cows crossing randomly, donkeys carting goods around on their backs and horse drawn carts. Our driver navigated the road works and lack of road rules with a stop in the middle of no where to give the driver a break which meant toilet break in the bushes – not a problem for campers… We crossed the border into Montenegro which initially looked fairly poor like Albania but then we drove through lots of pretty citrus and grape crops and then through amazing mountains and even more amazing coast line. We caught a ferry across a tiny stretch of water then drove through the hills to the Croatian border. Once in Croatia we drove along lots more amazing coast line into Dubrovnik where we set up camp for the night.
