10/7/2011 North Uist – Outer Hebrides to Edinburgh, Scotland

We had a leisurely breakfast then made a dash for the ferry, just before we left Sue’s place at Locheport we saw 5 male deer (reindeer) swimming across the loch in front of Sue’s croft house! We made it to Loch Maddy with plenty of time and had a fairly smooth trip back across to Uig on the Isle of Skye. We drove back through the Scottish highlands, past Loch Ness (didn’t see the monster!) and Urquhart castle at Inverness. We drove over the Forth bridge and arrived in Edinburgh around 7:30pm where we had dinner with Jerry and Anne and their family which was great.
