9/7/2011 North Uist – Outer Hebrides, Scotland

We drove round to the opposite side of the loch to Sue’s house in search of otters we walked along and sat for a few hours but didn’t see any otters. We walked to the top of the hill for 360 degree views out over Locheport and North Uist then walked down past a chambered burial tomb to the pub (Langass lodge) for a drink in the garden. We then drove down to Northern South Uist to the Hebridean jewellery shop for a look via Stinky Bay and stopped for lunch on the Island of Baleshare looking out over the beach. We had quiche and a special Hebridean Scottish desert for dinner – carrageen, made from seaweed, milk and honey quite tasty!
