We got up and packed up camp just in time before it poured with rain we drove along the coast with amazing scenery although grey and rainy and stopped in Verona, Italy to see Romeo and Juliette’s balcony and the Roman Arena. We drove from there on to Venice and our tour guide had a call to say that the camp grounds had been booked out by 500 Dutch Hitch hikers who were in a competition, the 1st to get from Holland to Venice hitch hiking won round the world tickets! So we got up graded to cabins for the 2 nights we were there! Needless to say there was a big party at the campsite bar that night… Thankfully when we got to the campsite the rain had cleared and we had a good night at the bar.
