6/7/2011 The Isle of Skye to North Uist – Outer Hebrides, Scotland

We got up early and set off for the ferry from Uig to Lochmaddy on North Uist. It was drizzling and grey so we didn’t see a lot on the crossing but it was smooth at least. We met Mum and Dad’s friend Sue and her daughter Katie and went back to their place for a yummy lunch and a few drinks. We then ventured out into the wind and rain for a quick drive around Sue’s end of North Uist and stroll along the beach which didn’t last long! We went back to Sue’s for more eating and drinking and it was light til nearly midnight which was really weird!
