9/8/2011 Athens to Kavala, Greece – Contiki tour day 22

We had an early start and farewelled half the group who were only doing the Southern part of the tour and welcomed a new group who were doing the Northern part of the tour. We drove for a few hours along Greece’s coastline past Mount Olympus before arriving at Spartan Thermopylae where we stopped for a few pics and then Byzantine Thessaloniki.  We then drove on to Kavala where we camped next to the beach.
