We had an early start and headed into Athens and up to the Acropolis where we did a walking tour for a few hours before heading back to the bus for a driving tour of the city. We stopped at the first Olympic stadium and drove past the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Panathenaic stadium, The Acropolis museum, Parliament house and the main square (and much more). From there we watched the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier in front of the Parliament house which was entertaining then walked down to the Athens Flea Market (not that cheap) and along to the Ancient Agora. We explored the Ancient Agora before walking back up over the Acropolis to the Temple of the Olympian Zeus and Panatheanaic Stadium then back to the main square for some dinner before heading back to the campsite. The temperature was around 40 degrees which made sight seeing difficult but Athens was still amazing!
