7/7/2011 North Uist to South Uist – Outer Hebrides, Scotland

We drove from Sue’s place right down to South Uist to Eriskay where we had a picnic before driving North of Polochar on Southern South Uist for lunch. From there we drove to Locheynort where we did a great walk through the woodland and around the loch where we saw seals and lots of bird life. We got stuck in a BIG thunderstorm which eventually past and then sun came out and we dried off. It was around 8:30pm by the time we got home – still broad day light and we had haggis, mash and turnips for dinner. The haggis was surprisingly good, tasted like spicy lamb salami! We got to bed around midnight again after admiring a nice sunset just before 12.
